(b) Helium gas is contained in a cylinder and is used to fill up balloons. The volume of the cylinder is 4.50 x 10-² m³, the pressure inside the cylinder is 3.00 x 107 Pa and the temperature is 293 K.
i. Determine the number of molecules of helium in the cylinder. You can assume that helium behaves as an ideal gas. ii. The pressure inside each balloon is 1.60 x 105 Pa. Calculate the number of balloons that can be filled from the gas in the cylinder. The volume of each balloon is 6.50 x 10³ m³ when the temperature inside them is 293 K. iii. Calculate the mass of helium inside each balloon. The molar mass of helium is 4 g mol-¹. iv. A different ideal gas is heated in a flexible container with an initial volume of 5.40 x 103 m³ and an initial temperature of 300 K. The temperature increases by 150 °C. Calculate the new volume of the gas. You can assume that the pressure stays the same.
