Mr. Lo is 90 years old. He is physically healthy for his age,
walking independently and only occasionally using a cane when he
goes out shopping. He is independent for his ADLs but is dependent
for his IADLs. He is most likely in the early stages of Alzheimer's
disease, as evidenced by forgetting appointments, getting pulled
over for driving too slowly, frequently forgetting to take his
medication, and sometimes not eating because he forgets to make a
meal. He also appears confused when he is talking to his daughter,
especially later in the afternoon/evening and has stopped doing a
lot of his regular activities he used to enjoy.
