While caring for a friend's dog, you notice that the dog begins to cower as you start to roll up a newspaper. 2. Ginger, an experimental psychology researcher, has been afraid of dogs since an earlier dog bite. However, because of a research grant, she decided to work with the dogs. At first, just going anywhere near the cages where the dogs were held made her very anxious. After continually working with the docile and friendly animals, she eventually decided to own a dog. Then, six months later she was bitten again. 3. Michael, a preschooler, always ran to hug all of his classmates. His parents tried to teach him that he should only hug close family members. Eventually he learned not to hug everyone. 33
