After learning about Alfred Adler's 20th century theory of how our personality develops within the family system in regard to our birth order, what are your initial reactions to his ideas? Do you see any correlations in your own birth order between this theory which claims that that order in which a child is born shapes their development and personality? Have you seen this play out in your own lives growing up? In addition, to the birth order, Adler firmly believed that family, community and other social aspects play a major role in shaping a child's personality. What is your opinion regarding these ideas? Please be descriptive and provide examples.
