Mr Bobby Lobster, a 23-year old construction worker, has been
‘under the weather’ for the last few weeks. He suffered from cold
sores on his face, for which he used prescribed medicated cream
with no much success. Suddenly, he felt weakness on the left side
of his face. He saw a ‘drooping’ appearance of the left side of his
face, in particular, of his left eye and the left corner of the
mouth. It was difficult to close the left eye. The left half of the
face felt ‘heavy’. Bobby also complained on the pain and high
sensitivity to sounds in his left ear as well as a bit of numbness
on the left side of the face. In addition, he felt foods tasted
slightly different. Mr Lobster was diagnosed with Bell palsy.
