Question 4: Real Analysis (25 points) A. Suppose that a salesperson earns basic monthly salary plus commission if she could meet monthly sales. The monthly salary that she earns is Rp5 million plus a commission of 10% on sales if her monthly sales does not exceed Rp200 million on sales for the month but receives a commission of 20% (on all sales) if her monthly sales do exceed Rp200 million. i. Find the equation that relates sales to earnings for this salesperson and graph it. (Let S be monthly sales and P be the salesperson's pay) (5 points) ii. Use the limit concept to show that the equation in point (i) is either continue or discontinue at S=200! (5 points) B. Discuss: ii. i. Whether equation f(x) = |x² - 41, is differentiable at x = 2 (5 points) Suppose you have monthly income of $100 which you spend for two goods, food (F) and cloth (C). Price of food (PF) is $1 per unit, and price of cloth (Pc) is $4 per unit. Does your budget set, Open? Closed? Bounded? Compact? (Hint: you can use graphic in your explanation) (5 points) C.
