You own a sandwich shop in which customers progress through two service stations. At the first service station, customers order sandwiches. At the second station, customers pay for their sandwiches. Suppose that all service times are exponential. The average service time at the first station is 2 minutes. The average service time at the second station is 1 minute. There are 3 servers at the first station and 2 servers at the second station. The arrival process is Poisson with rate 80 per hour. (a) What is the average number of customers at each station? (b) What is the average total time that each customer spends in the system? (c) True or false The arrival process to the second station is a Prisson process.
