coring Question 5 5 pts In August of 2020, the Grizzly Creek fire burned 32,631 acres in Glenwood Canyon, east of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The fire crossed interstate 70 causing its closure for nearly 2 weeks. I went back to Colorado that August and had some difficulties returning as interstate 70 had closed again, with no re-open date in sight. This time for mudslides so large they diverted the flow of the Colorado River, which flows alongside the interstate. Colorado often receives rain from the monsoons that time of year, but interstate 70 does not usually close for these rainstorms. Why were there severe mudslides this year?
