Shoshana and Darius both have a family history of two genetic disorders - sickle cell anemia (use A and a for alleles) and PKU (use B and b). Both are autosomal recessive. Shoshana and Darius are not afflicted by either disease but have parents that are. Darius' mom has PKU and his dad has sickle cell anemia. Shoshana's dad has both sickle cell and PKU, but her mom has neither. Answer the following questions relating to this information. (If you show your work you may receive partial credit if you get the incorrect answer) 1. What are Shoshana and Darius' genotypes? (2 pts) 2. What is the chance their first child will not be afflicted by either disease? (3 pts) 3. What is the chance that their second child will have only one disease? (this means the child could have either sickle cell or PKU) (3 pts)
