The figure below shows the replication bubble of a bacterial
chromosome. Using the image below, please draw in the newly
replicated strands. Make sure to show their primers and the
Okazaki fragments with their primers as well. In the
image, please take careful note of which orientation each of the
two strands are in and draw the daughter strands with respect to
that.
Please be careful to note the orientation of the two DNA
strands before your start. Remember, the new strand must be
anti-parallet to the old strand and it can only be synthesized in
the 5' --> 3' direction.
