An infinitely long hollow cylinder is laying along the x-axis. It has a constant current density J between its inner radius r₂ = 2.0 cm and its outer radius ro = 4.0 cm with a total current of 8.0 A flowing in the negative x-direction. 1. Derive a formula for the magnetic field as a function of radius r for the inner part of the cylinder, i.e. for r < ri. 2. Derive a formula for the magnetic field as a function of radius r outside of the cylinder, i.e. for r > ro 3. Determine the magnetic field strength at r = 1 cm, r = 3 cm and r = 5 cm.
