Q2.A typical de-propanizer column having a feed at 207.3 C°, 100 psia and 1271.519 Ibmol/hr with the following composition in mole fraction: Ethane 0.0148, propane 0.7315, 1-butane 0.0681, n-butane 0.1462, 1-Pentane 0.0173, n Pentane 0.015 and n-hexane 0.0071. Calculate the propane mass fraction in the distillate if the mole fraction of propane is 0.001 in the bottom and the mole fraction of I-butane in the distillate is 0.02. Total no. of Stages is 17 and the feed stage is no. 8. (SRK)
