(f) Plant information: Your plant treats 100tph of this dry ore and optimum slurry density is anywhere between 35% and 40% using a single cell flotation bank. The scale factor and aeration factors are 1 and 0.9. (Assume the single parameter equation to be adequate for modelling your plant data) (g) Determine the single cell volume required to give you a recovery of 85% copper (3) (h) What will be the recovery if the single cell flotation is split into two and now operates as a 2-cell units operating in series.(3) Design information: If concentrate prices are such that 30% concentrate grade or better sells R5000 per ton and anything less than 30% and greater than 25% sells for R3000.
