For the given structure:
1. Use the unconstrained internal degrees of
freedom of the structure given to set up the structure
stiffness equation. Include:
a. The Stiffness Matrix
b. The Displacement Matrix
c. The fixed-end Moment matrix
d. The Force Matrix
Label the joints using numbers and include in your report a
profile of the structure showing these labels. Start from the
bottom-left node, proceed right and then up. All rotations first,
then displacements.
2. Solve for the Displacement Matrix using the Matrix Calculator
online.
3. Determine the axial force, the shear and the moment at the
bottom of all ground columns.
4. Static check: With the axial force, the shear and the moment
at the bottom of all ground columns check that the structure is in
static equilibrium. (Take moments about A).
