1. Weibull Distribution: Calculate the average wind speed and average power in the wind for a WTG at 65 meter hub height
1. Weibull Distribution: Calculate the average wind speed and average power in the wind for a WTG at 65 meter hub height if the wind speed at 10 meters averages 7.5 m/s. Assume standard air density of p = 1.225 kg/m3, using Rayleigh Statistics and a friction coefficient a = 0.2. (Show work) 2. Use the Danish website to validate your calculation above using the Wind Turbine Power Calculator. Print and attach (do not do a screen dump, just perform a File/Print). 3. Using the Wind Turbine Power Calculator select a NEG Micon 750/48 and default wind data from Karup, Denmark. Print the page with the calculator, along with the power curve/density/coefficient and attach. 4. Perform #3 above but using a different turbine model and site data of your selection from the pull-down lists, compare results and provide a description of the differences.
