• Exercise: Draw the following voltage wave: o V = A sin(wt+0) + B o where: ■ A= 5 ■ w = 5 x 200m ▪ B = -2 - 0 = 0 ■ RC Circuits: Answer the following questions: • 1.Two capacitors of capacitance C₁ and C₂ are connected in parallel. What is the effective capacitance? 2.Two capacitors of capacitance C₁ and C₂ are connected in series. What is the effective capacitance? • 3.How to measure transient response time T in RC circuit, when R is the value of the resistor in ohms and C is the value of the capacitor in Farads? • 4. A series RC circuit has a time constant of 0.1 sec and its value of C is 2microfarads. what is the value of R? • 5. Describe the effect of Pulse Width of the capacitor's ability of fully charging and discharging, demonstrate that in drawings (please make them as accurate as possible). 6.Below RC circuit has a square wave Vs as input: (a) Draw the graph of voltage Vc. Note: the capacitor is fully discharged at t=0. • (b) Draw the graph of voltage VR. • (c) Draw the graph of current I through the resistor R. • RL Circuits: Answer the following questions: • 1. Two inductors L1 and L2 are connected in parallel and separated by a large distance so that the magnetic field of one cannot affect the other. What is the equivalent inductance? • 2.Two inductors L1 and L2 are connected in series and are separated by a large distance so that the magnetic field of one cannot affect the other. What is the equivalent inductance? • 3.In a series RL circuit the value of inductance is 2 Henry and resistance is 10 Ohms. What is the time constant of the circuit? • 4.
