In a residential area, 2 vertical FM antenna transmitter towers operating at 80 MHz with the same amplitude of feed current and horizontally isotropic (non-directional) radiation pattern are to be placed. As a result of this placement, maximum power should be sent to the NORTH (y) direction, which is the city area, and NULL (zero) power should be sent to another transmitter direction, which is at an angle of 135° from the north as shown in the figure, to avoid interference.
a) Find the placement of the antennas in the region shown in the figure, the distance between them [d] and the phase difference (α).
b) Express the electric field in the x-y plane in the far field in terms of angle (Ø) and distance (r).
