Question 6 Suppose you wish to design a USB car charger for your smartphone that draws power from a standard lead-acid car battery. The USB charger should produce a regulated output voltage of 5 V given that the car battery fluctuates between 11.5 V when discharged to 13 V when fully charged. 6 Draw the circuit diagram for an appropriate switching converter (ignore the regulating circuitry). Assume the use of an ideal switch. On the diagram clearly indicate Vin, Vout, L, D and C. What is the range of the duty cycle required for Vswitch to maintain the 5 V output voltage?
