have worsened since last year. His pediatrician referred him to a
pediatric cardiologist for treatment which likely include surgery
to correct the condition. The boy mother, however, is adamant about
not wanting her son to have surgery. She noted they have a very
specific religious beliefs and told pediatrician that the surgery
conflicts with those beliefs. The pediatrics department contacted
