Last weekend my parents came over

helping them load up on Saturday I saw that they had a spare tire
in the back seat. It turns out that their car did not come
with a spare tire when they bought it a year ago. In the
modern age of run-flat tires and roadside assistance, Honda had
decided to save weight and space in their hybrids by
eliminating spare tires. Not having a spare made my father
uncomfortable so he sourced an appropriate spare on Amazon and
ordered it. So when I was loading up I commented that he had
put the spare in. He responded “Well, I figured that since I
had already spent the money I really should bring the spare along.”
