404/5 √[5₂ m2 M moon Re 800 suming that the CT's have a 400/5 A ratio and no inaccuracies: a). Will the relay operate to trip the Generator CB(52) under this condition? b). Would the relay operate at the given value of fault current if the generator were carrying no load with its breaker? 409'5 325-40 A 304-60 A
The figure below shows a percentage differential relay applied to the protection of a Generator winding. The relay has a 0.1A minimum pick up current and a 10% slope. A high resistance ground fault has occurred as shown near the grounded neutral end of the generator winding, while the generator is carrying lead. As a consequence, the currents flowing at each end of the generator winding have the magnitude and directions shown.
