Is it ethical for a typical employer to check personal
information on social networking sites of its employees and job
applicants, and make employment decisions based on this
information?
This is the question that you will debate with your classmates.
To better facilitate communication for this exercise, you will be
divided into teams.
One team will examine the benefits of social media in
employment decisions and the other team will examine the costs of
social media in employment decisions. You will research the topic
and present credible evidence to support your position. After a
healthy debate of each side of the subject, each team will then
provide a brief written summary of their position to the class. A
list of sources, using proper APA format, must be provided.
