of different ages, nationalities, religions, races, and sexual
orientation. Supervisors need to be aware of relevant employment
law. This doesn’t mean every supervisor must be an expert in all
issues and laws affecting employment. However, they should know the
basics and be able to identify and avoid illegal actions when
dealing with employees.
1) Arrange these laws in Chronological Order
-
Age Discrimination in Employment Act
Americans with Disabilities
The VII of Civil Rights Act.
2 - Look at the names below. Consider the behavior and
decide which law would be applicable in case it is being violated
either
Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with
Disabilities, The VII of Civil Rights Act.
Hope - Has a tendency to pass over African American applicants
in favor of white applicants.
John - Called an offer of employment after applicant mentioned
she was HIV positive.

Marlena - Did not agree to remodel the bathrooms in the office
to accommodate wheelchairs because of the cost.
3) Read the descriptions of the various supervisors
and match them to the corresponding attribute number.
Match each of the options above to the items
below.

nonparents. #?
Raymond will not hire Hispanic workers or accept the transfer of
