Food delivery is a big business. Customers can order food from a
variety of different locations, types of foods, and even schedule
your order for later in the day. But delivery quality and
perceived food quality has many factors. The same delivery
driver may provide deliveries of food from different restaurants
and so the perceived quality of the driver is partially based upon
the varying quality of the food preparers and packers. At the
same time, a single restaurant may be very consistent in quality of
food preparation and packing but is dependent on a variety of
different drivers.
This presents a multi-sided problem. The restaurants (or donuts
shops like yours) are dependent on delivery drivers to provide a
high level of service and any individual driver is dependent on
many restaurants to keep their delivery driver ranking high enough
to stay employed.
