Ozone, which is fed to the continuous stirred tank reactor
(CSTR) at 0.6 mol/min, decomposes into oxygen molecule with the Air
mixture fed with a molar flow rate of 2.4 mol/min. The pressure in
the reactor is 1.5 atm and the temperature is 365 K. The
decomposition reaction is an elementary reaction and the reaction
rate constant is 3 L/mol.min.
a) Find the substance concentrations and volumetric flow in the
feed stream.
b) Construct the reaction rate expression.
c) Construct the stoichiometric table.
d) Find the required reactor volume for 50% of ozone to be
decomposed.
e) Find the substance concentrations at the reactor outlet and the
outlet flow rate
203-----> 3O2
