He decided to siphon some gasoline from the gas tank of his panel van to a gas can before transferring to your friend's car. Diameter of the siphon (i.e. hose, pipe) is 5 mm. (50 points) STISES 02 a) Determine the time to withdraw 4 liters of gasoline from the tank to the gas can. b) What is the pressure at the highest point of the siphon at 1? (Section 1 is 2.75 m above the discharge (exit) section) The density of gasoline is 750kg/m³. Neglect frictional losses in the siphon. Elevation differences between critical points are shown in the figure.
