Write a MIPS assembly language program that identifies the smallest out of 8 hexadecimal digits used to represent the 32

Post by answerhappygod »

Write a MIPS assembly language program that identifies the
smallest out of 8 hexadecimal digits used to represent the 32-bit
value loaded into register $a0. The smallest hexadecimal digit
identified should then be written into the least significant 4 bits
of register $v0. For example: If the hexadecimal representation of
the 32-bit value stored in $a0 is 0xBCDEFBCD, then the smallest
hexadecimal digit used to represent the value in $a0 is "B", and
the result written into $v0 should be 0x0000000B.
