Your company aims to subcontract as many packages as possible on each of their projects but always employs the site supervisory staff including site managers, engineers and quantity surveyors. You also have your own estimators and admin staff in the Galway regional office. You are responsible for the management of all of the staff in the region. Over the last number of years, your company (like many of its competitors) has had difficulty in attracting and retaining good quality staff. Discuss how you would motivate the staff in your region to optimise long term productivity and the sustainability of the organisation. You should support your answer with relevant management theory.
