Design of Lead & Lag Compensators Using Root Locus Consider the negative unity feedback system where the system G(s) is given by 1 G(s) = s(s+4) (a) Design a lead compensator using the root locus technique (!) so that the dominant poles are at −3+3j, −3-3j. Also, find the velocity error constant Kv. (b) Design a lag compensator such that the velocity error constant can be increased by 5 times of its original value determined in (a). Be sure that the dominant poles give in (a) are maintained. (c) Plot the step and ramp response of the designed system (Use Matlab Simulink !)
