1. INTRODUCTION AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal. AutoCAD is also available as mobile and web apps. 2. OBJECTIVES The first objective of this lab report is to put in evidence good understanding of basic AutoCAD commands to create 2D designs. In specific, draw different designs related to industrial engineering, such as parts and floor layouts. Finally, being able to add dimensions to the drawing and save it in different file extensions. 3. TASKS Draw a mechanical part on AutoCAD using different commands and add dimensions. 4. REPORT FORMAT Below please find an example of sections of a laboratory report: o Title Page o Introduction o Step-by-step procedures and tools used for creating simulation model o Final drawings. Please follow the guidelines given in the "Technical Report Writing Guide" posted in the Moodle page.
5. Questions: Q.1 Draw the following mechanical part (100 points): The units used in the following drawing is centimeters. 100 R10 20 20 40 50 R10 25 80 50 20 20 120 R10 R10 10 30 10 140
