Mr Afford, a 60-year-old male, loves full fat dairy foods such
as cheese and cream and easts lost every day. He was referred to an
ophthalmologist for a visual field detect. No abnormalities were
found in his basic eye structure including cornea, iris, lens,
vitreous humour and retina. Funduscopic examination shows no
abnormalities. He has right homonymous superior quadrantanopia.
Explain the pathophysiological processes that occur after excessive
consumption of full fat dairy foods over many years can lead to
this visual field detect in Afford’s case.
 Where is light stimuli entering the eye and how is it
perceived as images?  A certain pathway is damaged and describe
how it is affected?  How can excessive consumption of full fat
