Richard (80) spends 6 out of 7 days at an adult day care
while his son’s family is at work and school. Over the last
several weeks, Richard has been less engaged with staff at the day
care. His hygiene is deteriorating as well. The regular
pick up time for attendees is 5pm. However, Richards son has
been arriving later and later. The staff notice that when he
is picked up, the two don’t interact at all.
In a well developed written response, explain a social worker's
responsibility to assess for various types of elder abuse.
