1. a. Determine the moment of inertia of a cone rotating about its axis. (Mass = M, radius = R, height = H volume = 1/3 π R^2 H) Express your answer in terms of M, R & H only.
b. Find the center of mass of the cone in terms of H only.
C. The cone in part a is rotating about its axis is pivoted at its vertex and its axis is horizontal. The cone then starts a precession about the pivot. If the rotational speed of the cone is ω, write an expression to find the precession angular speed around the pivot in terms of M, R, H and ω.
d. Calculate the precession angular frequency of a cone of mass 2.00 kg, base radius 25.0 cm, height 30.0 cm, rotating at 10.0 rpm.
