We've talked about stars ionizing hydrogen, but what about
helium, the other abundant element in space? The wavelength of
light needs to be shorter than 22.8 nm to fully ionize helium. What
temperature would a star need to be for its blackbody spectrum to
peak at this wavelength? Answer in Kelvin
