into the gc. Having seen how this works, give an explanation for
the fact that the retention time for a given molecule might vary
from run to run.
2. Retention time for the same compound is rarely identical on
the two gcs used in lab (gc#1 and gc#2). Propose two possible
explanations for this observation.
