Nivolumab is a monoclonal antibody used in the treatment of
cancer. It is typically prepared as an intravenous infusion.
The dose is patient-dependent; for example, in the
aseptic manufacturing unit at Thomas hospital, on 01/12/2021,
240 mg of Nivolumab was made up in 135 mL of sodium chloride
solution with an expiry of 2/12/2021 for patient X.
a) Determine the concentration of Nivolumab in the solution
prepared for patient X in units of % w/v (show your steps)
b) Comment on the stability of the Nivolumab intravenous
infusion prepared for patient X. Please justify your
answer.
