An ordinary air-core solenoid that you constructed is not
producing a strong enough magnetic field. A friend has suggested
that you insert an iron core into the air-gap to intensify the
magnetic field strength. Upon following her instructions, you find
that the magnetic field has increased by a factor of 1000 times.
What is the magnetic susceptibility of the iron core?
