The daily production of carbon dioxide from an 800 MW coal-fired
power plant is estimated to be 31,000 metric tons. A proposal has
been made to capture and sequester the CO2 at approximately 300K
and 70 atm. At these conditions, the specific volume of CO2 is
estimated to be 0.0085 m3/kg. What volume (m3) of CO2 would be
collected during a one-year period?
