the solution for a different problem. I need virtual work method to
solve rotation at A, NOT DEFLECTION AT B!
Problem: for the uniform beam below, A, C and D are roller supported and F is pin connected to the wall. The beam is subjected to concentrated loads of 20 kN at point B and 40 kN at point E. B E F 2 m m -2 m + 4 m -2 m -2 m Part c: after you get consistent moment diagram from part a and b, proceed to use the virtual work method to solve the rotation at A; (20%, you can use either the force method or slope deflection method to solve the moment diagram of the virtual system)
