A chilled water loop circulates 64 gpm of water at 45°F. The
loop consists of 200 ft of
straight nominal 2 inch schedule 40 steel pipe with one branch tee,
one line tee, eight
standard 90° elbows, and four gate valves. All fittings are
flanged. Head loss through the
chiller and cooling coil are 20 ft and 30 ft, respectively. Specify
the water horsepower
required to overcome the friction in this loop.
