Consider the following system diagram and description of its operation: Up Limit Down Limit Motor Up Down Driver PLC A lift is used to raise up heavy objects as part of a manufacturing process. The lift is actuated by an electric motor, which is controlled by a motor driver. When the up button is pressed, the motor is turned on, its direction set to go forward, and the lift moves up. A limit switch is used to detect if the lift is at the top. If the lift is at the top, the motor is turned off. When the down button is pressed, the motor is turned on its direction is set to reverse, and the lift moves down. A limit switch is used to detect if the lift is at the bottom.
