CIRCUIT
Design a function generator with the following specifications • The circuit must generate a symmetrical triangular, square and sine wave. The triangular and square waveforms must have approximately 5 V. Sine wave should have adjustable 5 V and 10 V amplitudes. • The circuit must have a convenient means for varying the frequency of the waveforms between 0.5 kHz to 10 kHz. • The circuit can be composed of standard-value fixed resistors, adjustable resistors, standard-value capacitors, op amps, and diodes. • The circuit must be powered from +15 V and -15 V. However, the characteristics of the output waveforms must not depend strongly on the exact power-supply voltages. As your pre-lab work, you are expected to 1. theoretically design the square wave, triangle wave and sine wave parts 2. build and simulate/verify on LTSpice 3. write a pre-lab report including your hand calculations, circuit schematic and simulation results. Theoretical calculations should show how you found the values of components (resistors, capacitors) for each stage to achieve the specifications (5V, 0.5 kHz-10 kHz range, etc). Your pre-lab report must include individual performances of sub blocks of circuits, such as DC sweep analysis of the Schmitt Trigger where you will find out the lower and upper trigger points, AC sweep analysis of the integrator revealing the frequency domain behavior, as well as transient analysis results of complete circuit. Also include any other simulation result you like to demonstrate the circuit performance. You must demonstrate, via your simulation results, that the design specifications are met!
