KIE 2007 BASIC ELECTROMAGNETICS SEMESTER 2, 2021/2022 GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1: ELECTROSTATICS (15%) SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION In this project (assignment), students are required to form a group of 4 students. Each group is required to develop an assignment project related to an electrostatic sensor for energy harvesting system. An electrostatic energy harvester with variable capacitor is shown in Figure 1 whose capacitance is a function of displacement distance of many elements. Design a sensor which will provide energy in the range of 1 to 20 microJoule (UJ) between the region bounded by the plates. Please write down also a MATLAB code that will calculate the energy as function of these displacement distances and compare.
