A 200 hp, 480 V, four pole, 60 Hz, three phase, delta connected synchronous motor, operating atrated load, has an efficiency of 94 % and a power factor of 80 % leading. Assuming the synchronous reactance is 1.16 S2 phase, determine: (a) the excitation voltage and power angle As=1800 rpm (b) Torque Angle (c) the pullout torque, (d) the pullout torque if the excitation voltage is cut in half.
