Q 13) A toroid is constructed of a magnetic material with y = 1000 having a cross-sectional area of 5 cm and an effective length 10 cm. There is a short air gap of 0.5 mm of the same cross sectional area. An mmf of 200 A.t is applied by using a 100-turn coil to this magnetic circuit. Calculate: i. The total magnetic flux in the toroid ii. H in the magnetic core and in the air gap. iii. The stored magnetic energy in the air gap.
