Australia Dear Home Builders (ADHB) is a private residential
builder company constructing hundreds of residential homes every
year in Australia. Currently all project management related
activities and documents are handled using an old off-the-shelf
Project Management Information System (PMIS) software which ADHB
has bought many years ago. The existing PMIS doesn't respond to the
growing needs of the company. Thus the company has appointed you
and your team as an external project management firm to provide
them with advice regarding the development of a new PMIS for
ADHB.
ADHB is clear about what features they want to be included in
the new PMIS, and would like to limit changes as much as possible.
ADHB has an internal IT department which is capable of developing
this software, but would also consider outsourcing this development
to an external IT company if they can deliver higher value (they
have already identified AST Software Co. as a potential software
development company which can deliver the product). Moreover, you
are requested to submit a Project Execution Plan (PEP) for this
development in terms of how to manage the activities required to
develop the new PMIS.
