Scientific Computing SCP216B Project 2: AUTOMATING COMMANDS Semester 1, 2022 By M.D. Entre INTRODUCTION Automation is rapidly becoming part of our everyday lives. MATLAB has many functions and Toolboxes specifically designed for automation During this Project, you are required to automate certain commands to complete a set of instructions with little to zero user input. Creating functions and modifying common MATLAB functions to create an automated smart system that can solve problems PROJECT OBJECTIVE Automate commands to solve 2 different problems Method 1: Automate plot function to draw different shapes You have used the plot function many times during this semester. Now, you will automatically plot different shapes based on input captured by the user • Create a menu with 3 options to choose from. (Square. Triangle and Rectangle). . Once a shape has been selected prompt the user to enter a value(s) for the side(s) of the square, triangle or rectangle . The plot function must automatically plot draw) the shape with the specific dimensions Add the colour option to your selections, Prompt the user to choose between 2 colours of the shape. (Red and Blue) Method 2: Automate Inventory.count You will once again use EXCEL in conjunction with MATLAB. The EXCEL document contains the inventory of a certain company with many factories. Each column represents a different material stocked and each row represents a specific factory. Some factories only stock certain materials • Import the data from the EXCEL spreadsheet called "Inventory Make sure that the data type is either double" or "array . Prompt the user to select a material. (eg. Copper or Steel) . Your system must automatically sum all the values of the selected material and return print to the screen the total amount • Change the values of certain elements in your inventory and prompt the user again • Analyse your system to see if it automatically picked up the chames and display the new talab
