very confused. Metastasis and angiogenesis are vital steps in
cancer evolution and often are associated with poor prognosis. With
reference to angiogenesis explain how small cancers can establish a
robust blood supply (60 % of marks). With reference to this blood
supply, describe how a tumour cell would enter, survive, and leave
the blood to form secondary metastases. (40 % of marks). Specific
examples of the proteins and molecular alterations involved, in
these processes, should be provided.
