A manometer tube inclined at a 45° angle with the horizontal is filled with water. It is connected to the pressure port on a model in the wind tunnel. The other end is open to the atmosphere where the barometric pressure is 30.04 in Hg. The atmospheric temperature is 65°F. The reference height, i.e., tunnel off, of the manometer board is 7.0 inches. With the tunnel running, the height of the manometer tube connected to the static port in the tunnel is 8.1 inches. A port on a model with a 4 inch chord in the test section is connected to the manometer board, and the slant height reads 8.5 inches. Determine the following: • Total pressure • Static pressure in tunnel • Air density • Wind tunnel speed • Dynamic pressure • Reynolds number • Static pressure on model • Velocity on model • Pressure coefficient on model
