Use the following information to answer the next
questions.

F1 are the first filial generation of
offspring produced from true breeding/homozygous parents with
opposite characteristics of a trait (e.g. seed colour: green
(yy) yellow (YY)). The
F1 are heterozygous (e.g.Yy) for the genes being analyzed
in a cross.

F2 are the second filial generation and are
the offspring produced from crosses between F1 offspring.

A pure breeding white flowered plant is crossed with a pure
breeding red flowered plant. The F1 offspring produced are all
heterozygous.

Two F1 offspring are then crossed.

Use a Punnett square to determine the phenotypic and genotypic
ratios of the F2 offspring
produced WHEN:
1.
red flowers (R) are dominant to white flowers
(r)
2.
there is incomplete dominance between red (R) and white
(W) flowers
